Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA)

The Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) is a governmental agency that coordinates Official Development Assistance for the government of Japan. It is chartered with assisting economic and social growth in developing countries, and the promotion of international cooperation. JICA has started providing technical assistance to NEECA under the Government of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan  for the project to Develop Effective Phasing Out Strategy/Program of Inefficient Appliances to Support Energy Standards & Labeling Regime of NEECA . 

Currently, the experts are working on Development of AC and Refrigerators Minimum Energy Performance Standards and Energy Labeling Scheme. Earlier JICA team assisted in developing draft Minimum Energy Performance standards of few domestic appliances and helped in successful launch of Energy Labeling Scheme.
