Energy Conservation Building Code
What is ECBC?
ECBC (Energy Conservation Building Code – 2023) is a national framework developed and implemented by National Energy Efficiency and Conservation Authority (NEECA).
It sets minimum energy efficiency standards for the design, construction, and operation of buildings across Pakistan. The code provides technical guidelines to ensure buildings use energy efficiently, reduce waste, and support sustainable development.
In simple terms, NEECA’s ECBC ensures that every new building in Pakistan is designed to consume less energy while maintaining comfort and performance.
