Writing Competition 2023

 

Purpose:

To highlight the importance of Energy Efficiency and Conservation through documentation of experiences of daily life and ideas from individuals 

Description:

NEECA is conducting a national level EE&C awareness competition to inculcate a culture of conservation and efficient use of energy in Pakistan in the light of Energy Efficiency & Conservation Act 2016. 

Writing competition will bring in fresh discourse in the energy sector regarding our policies towards energy efficiency and conservation. Essays tend to invigorate young minds to reflect excellence in their expression thereby attracting the attention to national level efforts to conserve the energy.

EE&C writing competition will comprise of following two categories;


 

  1. Essay Competition
  1. Essay can be submitted in English, Urdu and other regional languages of Pakistan*
  2. Essay should be limited to 1000-2500 words
  1. Story Competition
  1. Any story which has a clear message about EE&C. 
  2. Story should be limited to 1000-2500 words


 

Awards Categories 

  1. There will be 05 different award categories with following composition:


 

i)             Class 5th -8th                            ii) Class 9th to 10th                                                  iii)         Class 11th- 12th                          iv)     BS 1st - 8th Semester                                 

v)         MPhil/PhD Scholars & Professional 


 

Prize:


 

     1st Prize: 100,000 PKR              2nd Prize: 50,000 PKR                3rd Prize: 25,000 PKR


 

  1. Followed by a letter of appreciation & honorary shield 

Terms & Conditions

  1. Both Essay and Story can be submitted in English, Urdu and other regional languages of Pakistan*
  2. Essay and Story will be assessed separately for competition
  3. Essay and Story competition can be extended to each language separately depending on the number of participants
  4. The essay and story will be checked for plagiarism, only original work will be processed for competition. 
  5. Only the enrolled students are eligible for participation in competition. A certificate of enrollment may be asked during the shortlisting process. 
  6. The international education (A level, O Level etc.) awards would be considered with corresponding local degree programs. 
  7. Guidelines should be strictly followed to avoid ineligibility for participation in the competition
  8. It is strongly advised to visit NEECA website and NEECA Social Media Pages before proceeding for writing an essay or a story.  The links are given below. 

 

  1. NEECA will have all the intellectual rights of all the essays and stories shortlisted for awards and will utilize solely as per its mandate without informing the awardees.

 

Submission Process:

  • Essay (hard copy either handwritten or typed both are acceptable) must be submitted before the deadlines on below given address or soft copies of essays can be emailed at info@neeca.gov.pk.
